How do I reserve a bed at The Retreat?
To reserve a bed at The Retreat, go to the Leasing section and fill out online or download your application and sponsor guarantee forms. Once completed, submit the forms, or bring them to the clubhouse, located at 1929 Bluff Road, Columbia, SC. 29201.  After you select your cottage, you will put down a deposit equal to one month's rent in order to reserve the cottage. A portion of this deposit will become your security deposit once you take occupancy. We will try to make this process as simple as possible for you! How long is the term lease?
Leases begin August 10 and end July 25.

How many bedrooms are in the student cottages?
The Retreat offers 6 different floorplans of 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom cottages.

How many bathrooms are in the student cottages?
Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. The Birchmore and Brookshire cottages also offers an extra half bath.

What kind of amenities does The Retreat offer?
The Retreat offers a huge resort-style pool; beach volleyball, putting green & grilling pavilion; an expansive clubhouse with computer lab, fitness center, tanning bed, social room, catering kitchen; private yards, porches & patios; and expansive greenspace.

Are pets allowed in The Retreat?
Yes, pets are allowed; however, there is a $500 partially-refundable security deposit. We currently do not require proof of renters insurance, nor do we charge a monthly pet fee.

How many square feet are in each cottage?
The cottages range in size from approximately 1251 square feet (2 BR/2 BA) to approximately 1880 square feet (5 BR/5 BA). See the cottage floorplan page for detailed measurements.
